Easy, Yummy, Toffee

Toffee

Everytime I make this recipe I am amazed at how yummy each piece is.

I was in grade school and one of the families in the small town I grew up in served this toffee.

I don’t even remember where or why I tasted it. However it must of had a great impact because I asked for the recipe and now I can share that with you.

TOFFEE

1 Can (300ml) Sweetened Condensed Milk

2 C Brown Sugar

1/2 Lb Butter (1 Cup)

5 Tbsp Corn Syrup

Method: Combine in a heavy pot or frying pan. Boil, stirring continuously for 20 minutes. Put on buttered cookie sheet (I used stoneware and I don’t butter it) Score and cut when cooled.

Are you up for the Challenge?

Who is charge of the earth. Who has been given dominion over this earth.

John 14:30 says that ” I will no longer talk much with you for the ruler of this world is coming and he has nothing in Me”

John 12: 31 says… “the ruler of this world will be cast out”

John 16:11 also speaks about the ruler of this world. 

So who is this referring to ? Who is the ruler of this earth?

If church and state have become separated then tell me who can we trust when it comes to this “world” that we live in. 

Can we trust all that we are told us with out researching for truth?

If you are one who believes and trusts God, then can you  trust the people of the earth if you know who has dominion on this earth? 

The world we live in today is a world of tremendous information are we willing research the things that we see on social media or do we just want to like and share if the headline is written in a way that we like, or if the headline tells us “part of a Truth” to motivate us to think in a certain way. 

I encourage you in this time of great information both current and the past. Research and find out more. Remember that Church and State are separate these days, and keep in mind “who” it is that has dominion on this earth and if you can answer that question then you would know what his goal is.

Be Grateful Everyday

Its easy to forget but its just as simple as that. Be grateful for those around you and for the blessings that you have.

Keep reminders around the house …

You can post a reminder on the screen of you phone,

Keep looking for ways to remind yourself.

Set a timer everyday to spend a few minutes being grateful. How about being really thankful for the people in your life. Each person is a blessing in some way. Get out of you own way, connect to those around you and validate them in a way they need validating.

Its up to you how you feel your way through each day. Choose to FEEL grateful and thankful… which by the way will lead to a feeling of happiness.

I am not a “fan” of only being motivated by how you feel BUT when you feel great the out look on life can change too.

Design the ways in your life that you will use to remind you to Be grateful

  1. write a message on your home screen on your phone
  2. keep a journal with gratitude/blessings
  3. have a friend keep you accountable and remind each other to be grateful
  4. have art work in your house that reminds you to be grateful
  5. in your office have erase boards with grateful words and sayings to remind you
  6. put a reminder on your daily calendar.

Its really up to you how you choose to think about your life. You can see all the blessings and ways to be grateful or you can see all the negatives in your life.

Keep in mind you are precious and valuable and able to encourage and impact others in a grateful way.

a typical day in life

With having 4 kids in activities we parents can feel like we are tag teaming the activities. This happens often in our house.

Last night I had driven my daughter a hour to her volleyball practice. The boys had had other activities that there dad was picking them up from and then heading home.

While at the practice I get a text from my 10 year old son..

Son: What time will you be home?

Me: Late, after 10:30

Son: Can I have Ice cream?

Me: Is Dad there?

Me: Ask Him

Son: Ya

Son: OK

Son: Bye

Oh my goodness… so funny!!! Their dad could be sitting right beside them and they would still find a way to ask mom….

Kids are AWESOME !

Listen to learn, instead of listening to answer.

Listen to Learn and not to Talk

My thoughts tonight…

It’s so easy to only listen to someone long enough to want to answer and talk about what you want to talk about.

My goal from today forward is to listen to listen and really value what others are saying. To listen to their heart and what matters to them.

How often do you really feel like you have been listened to and that what you have is say is valued. That is a skill to be able to make someone else feel like they have been listened too and cared for.

Raising 4 children 2 teens and 2 middle schoolers in this day and age, is a challenge. They are faced with so much more ” yuck” in their day to day lives. With the addition of the internet and social media and the impact of the vastness of that is crazy. To listen to each of them and let them know how important each of them is as a person and not as the somewhat fake world we live,online.

When I was young, if I met someone that was not from close to home, I probably never saw that person again … not so anymore … we can be connected so quickly and in a private way. So many young people are online communicating with others on a day to day basis and yet if they actually see that person somewhere, the two people don’t talk to each other. But they will txt, snap… each other. It’s a totally different way to know someone and it doesn’t teach how to build a relationship of any kind with people in person.

So if you take nothing else away from what I say , keep in mind …It’s important to listen to those around you and let them know you value them… as a person… in real life and NOT just online.

Finally, LISTEN to show love and kindness… it’s so important for our next generations coming behind us. Value people and all that they contribute to the lives we live.

5 EASY WAYS TO MOTIVATE YOU TO EXERCISE

Are you feeding your body with food or starving your cells of nutrients that keep you alive….
Do you wonder why we have an epidemic of diseases that are multiplying ….

How about exercise, supplements, good water and  nutritional shakes full of good things for your cells…

I don’t know about you but when I put the things in good in I feel better

Think clearer

And have more energy

 

No matter what you are working on, how consistent you are what is most important.

How do we do it?  It’s not easy but its worth it!

Staying healthy…. be consistent in eating well 90% of the time

Feeling good…. stay moving 90% of your days and you will feel more motivated and better about yourself and all that you are doing

Keep your brain clear… for me its a combo that I do daily … supplements, good water, sleep, exercise… good fresh food….

I lack then most motivations in the area of exercise  … that is something that I have to tell my body to “do anyway”  and that I will never “FEEL” like doing it… so just “DO IT”….

5 WAYS THAT MOTIVATE  YOU TO EXERCISE

1. Find an app that keeps track of what you do and gives you the workouts to do

2. Find a friend to workout with

3. Find someone to keep you accountable…. and that may even be an online buddy

4. If you go to a gym… join some classes and meet people there

5. If you can’t find someone ….do it anyway…. its your life and your health and You are important…

Stay healthy its your best way to prevent disease and premature aging… lets be serious… we all want to age gracefully, beautifully and slowly…

Be Healthy and Stay Healthy simply because you love yourself and because you CAN!
