The wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook…. Day 11

March 20, 2018 by kareenkarol Leave a Comment

A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgement.

When you have more than yourself to think about you are able to expand your mind to help others.  Find a circle of like minded people to be with, do not isolate yourself in anyway ….be wise among your peers, seek wisdom and share your wealth of knowledge.  Be apart of something bigger.

The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; The wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook.

Words have such deep power when spoken…. good words are like planting a seed that grows and expands into the future, the more you learn to speak favour and wisdom the more that will flow out of you.

A fool’s lips enter into contention, And his mouth calls for blows.

A fool’s mouth is his destruction, And his lips are the snare of his court.

Day 10 So much inspiration and so little time…

March 19, 2018 by kareenkarol Leave a Comment

Everyday brings its own set of challenges, but by staying focused on your goals and taking time each day to improve your self through learning and wisdom it makes the days easier.  But a constant  seeker of wisdom and kindness in your life daily.

Here are a few proverbs from Proverbs that stood out to me today.  I love going though the proverbs each month as different ones stand out to me as my life abs and flows over time.  I hope you gain some wisdom… ENJOY

Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife.

Peace, quietness, and less is a way for us to live in harmony.  Having more doesn’t mean you gain  peacefulness.   Prosper where you are planted and be joyful with all that you have.

Rebuke is more effective for a wise man, Than a hundred blows on a fool

This makes me think of teaching and training up your children, there are things that we sometimes think our kids should already know or do and yet in reality we are expecting too much from them. If we have wisdom and allow them to grow and mature in their years and wisdom, then things will go smoother. We can tell them the same thing over and over (instead of getting on there case, something they will learn over time)  we just have to let them mature.

Let a man meet a bear robbed of her cubs Rather than a fool in his folly.

WOW … it is so important to be wise and seek wisdom rather than be a fool. This proverb speaks loudly for itself…

He who has knowledge spares his words, And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.

I definitely know some people of “few words” and yet in those few words there is lots of wisdom. I am not the type of person that only has a few words and so in those situations I like to study the person of “few words” and really listen when they do speak.

Knowledge- Understanding= a calm spirit…… I believe we all look for this in ourselves and in others.

Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace, When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.

Another reminder how important it is to keep quiet, listen and gain wisdom from others.

I heard a wise woman once say that she would get annoyed at her husband for not talking more in social situations…. His response was , ” I already know what I know, I want to learn what the other person knows”  Wise words that I like to live by.

Keeping growing in wisdom and knowledge everyday.

Guidance for Daily Life, Day 9

March 17, 2018 by kareenkarol Leave a Comment

Today is March 16, it is the 9th day on the 30 day journey seeking Proverbs for wisdom and knowledge.  In the link below I spent a few minutes going showing you how I go through the chapter and how I choose proverbs to write and speak about.

Click and watch below and then scroll down to read more.

All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, BUT the Lord weight’s the spirits.

I am thankful today that God’s eyes have more wisdom than my eyes.  I know for me if I was the wisest person around, I would get very discouraged.  Because I believe that God sees the bigger picture and He is for me and not against me… that gives me hope for my everyday.

When a man’s ways please the Lord He makes even His enemies to be at peace with him.

Keys to peace… as the whole world seems to be seeking a solution for peace, here is the key.  Follow the loving direction that God has put on your heart and take action in that direction.  We live in a world that is not perfect so there will be times that it does feel good, but that doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

How much better to get wisdom than gold And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

WISDOM and UNDERSTANDING rule…. as we (I) continue the day to day life of running in what seems life circles at times… we have another reminder that silver and gold are NOT the most important things in life. Wisdom and Understanding are better. Ask for Wisdom and Understanding and you will receive.

An ungodly man digs up evil, And it is on his lips like a burning fire.

This makes me think of some people and it is important to me to not be this kind of person…one who stirs up trouble… to have gossip burning on your lips and the desire is so great to speak evil to others is not for me.  To be upstanding, full of wisdom and knowledge is my goal.  This Proverb is a great reminder for how to live life.

So many great tips today from proverbs and the journey to wisdom and understanding.

Blessings Kareen

A soft answer turns away wrath BUT a harsh word stirs up anger Day 8

March 16, 2018 by kareenkarol Leave a Comment

Everyday has its ups and downs and everyday looks very different and yet similar at the same time. My days consist of being a mom first and all that goes along with it.

Sometimes it can feel like a lot, however if I put it into perspective it is only a short time in my life and there will be many days after my children are out on there own and I am not doing the day to day mom life.

One major part of my day is the words that I use to lift up and sometimes tear down my children, as well helping them learn how to use their words wisely to help them in the future. As I read Proverbs 15 so many of the Proverbs pertaining to the TONGUE really stood out to me.

A soft answer turns away wrath BUT a harsh word stirs up anger.

WOW I need this one written on my wipe off board and as well on my phone for a constant reminder.  So words of wisdom for keeping the peace and for a peaceful surrounding.  It is so much easier to solve problems when we are calm and reasonable…. No anger 🙂

The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly BUT the mouth of fools pour forth foolishness.

Knowledge is something that I seek everyday and there are all kinds of knowledge out there, I am seeking wisdom to know what knowledge is truth and what things I can let go out of my brain.

Wisdom = knowledge that I am seeking through this daily study through the book of Proverbs… what about you?

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life BUT perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

A tree of life that grows and flourishes, as I would like my life to be.  Being wholesome is rare in this day and age but you and I do not have to be like anyone else and we can be wholesome even in this day and age.  Remember Noah he was the only wholesome person that God could find in the whole world… Live how you desire in your heart to live.

The lips of the wise disperse knowledge BUT the heart of the fool does not do so.

Back to our hearts again and how our lives stem out of what is in our hearts.  Keep renewing good and life into your heart.  What you put in will come out….

A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance BUT by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

More on our hearts and the life that comes from them.  I speak more on the heart in this post from  March 12

Better is a little with the fear of the Lord. Than great treasure with trouble.

Yes I like this Proverb just how it is, it rings true for me and I agree.  A little fear of the Lord is better that  great wealth and treasures of stuff and lots of trouble.  No thank you to trouble.:)

So much wisdom just waiting for us to find, read and put into our hearts.  I encourage you today to bless your heart and mind and soul with wisdom.

A sound heart is life to the body – Daily Inspiration March 14

March 15, 2018 by kareenkarol Leave a Comment

Its another cold day here where I live and I am hoping that spring is right around the corner. Thankful for the Chi Tea Latte that I am enjoying at Starbucks as I write this post.  So many ways to enjoy a cold day, and this is a perfect way.

Today as I read through Proverbs 14 there were so many verses that stuck out to me and resonated with me.  As you can see so this will be a little longer. Pull out what resonates with you.

The wise woman builds her house BUT the foolish pulls it down with her hands.

This Proverb always stops me in my tracks and makes me think about my own house and how I treat the house that I have built.  What results will come from all that is going on in my house, are they the  results that I will be proud of down the road.  Am I building up my house or tearing it down.  Its a great question to ask myself, take action to make your future the way you want it. Results are the truth.

There is a way that seems right to a man BUT its end is the way of death

Every path that we take leads somewhere, that is easy to see as we look around.  What path have others taken?  When you see someone on the path that leads to destruction or success, take a look at the path that you are on because they always lead in the same direction….

He who despises his neighbour sins BUT he who has mercy on the poor is happy is he.

Love everyone and hate no-one… be a great example in all that you do.  You will win more people over with kindness than with judgement. Be merciful and help the poor.

In all labor there is profit BUT idle chatter leads only to poverty.

I believe that some people really know how to focus and get work done and then there are some of us ( me included lol ) that spend more time thinking and talking about what we are going to do or what someone else has done that we never get the things done that we set out to do.  Life is meant to be good, full and full of profit, be focused on the things that make a difference daily and you will see the results that you want.

He who is slow to wrath has great understanding BUT he who is impulsive exalts folly.

Ok, wow as a mom I love this proverb… now my goal is to be slow to wrath and frustration as I constantly say the same things over and over to no avail.  My goal is to have great understanding instead of impulsiveness….

A sound heart is life to the body BUT envy is rottenness to the bone.

Its all about the heart, how is your heart … really it’s very important to keep your heart in good shape…. so much more I could say. Just know in your head that your heart is very important to how you live. 🙂 Dr. Jim Richards teach a lot about the heart if you are seeking answers.

I hope you are feeling blessed today and If you are struggling… purposefully look for Blessings.

Inspiration Day 7

March 13, 2018 by kareenkarol Leave a Comment

We live in a world where nobody wants correction, everyone wants what THEY want when they want it.

As I look around I am pretty sure that that attitude is not making things better.  Society is seeing more destruction then ever before… people are lonely and feeling like there is no purpose to life.

So what if …. we allowed our selves to be corrected and set back on a just path.  If we all live by our own standards then there is no unity on how we as people live.

Keep that is mind as you check out this first proverb that stuck out to me today.

Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction BUT he who regards a rebuke will be honoured

Lets embrace true correction and honour others.

A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, BUT the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.

I remember a country singer saying that he has enough money for his grandchildren’s children and I thought to myself… wow what does that really mean?

I think we are to be diligent, work hard and smart. Stay focused on what needs to be done in front of you and not get sidetracked by “shiny objects” .

Our wealth can be measured in more ways than just a financial way.  Wealth and Blessing can look different for each of us and yet I still believe that for those of us living in North America especially, there is every opportunity to build financial wealth that extends to our children’s children.

Diligence and excellence are learned behaviours… lets be great examples and teach others along the way.

Daily Inspiration March 12, 2018

March 13, 2018 by kareenkarol Leave a Comment

If you are one of those that is looking for my proverbs posting each day, I know I am a day behind.  I go through the proverbs and write in my journal and sometimes I just don’t get it on to my blog until the next day.  I will be posting both Proverbs 12 and Proverbs 13 today, thank you for reading.

Be committed to what you are doing but also love yourself enough to give yourself a break.  Its OK that I am posting 2 times on my blog today.  Be diligent and live with love and love yourself as well as others ;).

I should let you know that along with picking out the key Proverbs that stand out to me daily I also track what I am praying for so that over the 30 days I can see the progression and prayers answered.

Proverbs 12 on March 12

Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge BUT he who hates correction is stupid

Love instruction and learning, wow so refreshing, our hearts are seeking knowledge daily.  Our society tells us that we are only to learn while we are in school and yet there are so many more years in our life that we are not in school and still we need to learn.  I know that if I don’t learn daily I start to die on the inside and need to input for knowledge and learning everyday.

The hand of the diligent will rule, BUT the lazy man will be put to forced labor.

Be diligent in all that you do…. even with washing dishes and putting away the clean clothes.  We are created to work with a spirit of excellence and my body thrives when I am doing my best in everything in my life.

Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, BUT a good word makes it glad.

Wow this is a whole different that I will comment on in a  future blog post.  Our Heart and all that it is capable of so many things to learn about with our heart and all that it really does influence our mind and how we succeed in life. If you would like to learn more check out the book that   I am reading the Moving Your Invisible Boundaries – Heart Physics : the Key to Limitless Living by Dr. Jim Richards is is available on Amazon.  It is a real game changer for my life.

The second part of the talks about a good word and how that makes a difference in our life.  I know for me having someone speak words of wisdom and life to me makes my heart feel different and happy.  So much depends on my heart and how it feels.

So much to think about and fill our hearts with in just a few words put together into a proverb.  Renew your heart and mind daily.
