Everyday has its ups and downs and everyday looks very different and yet similar at the same time. My days consist of being a mom first and all that goes along with it.
Sometimes it can feel like a lot, however if I put it into perspective it is only a short time in my life and there will be many days after my children are out on there own and I am not doing the day to day mom life.
One major part of my day is the words that I use to lift up and sometimes tear down my children, as well helping them learn how to use their words wisely to help them in the future. As I read Proverbs 15 so many of the Proverbs pertaining to the TONGUE really stood out to me.
A soft answer turns away wrath BUT a harsh word stirs up anger.
WOW I need this one written on my wipe off board and as well on my phone for a constant reminder. So words of wisdom for keeping the peace and for a peaceful surrounding. It is so much easier to solve problems when we are calm and reasonable…. No anger 🙂
The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly BUT the mouth of fools pour forth foolishness.
Knowledge is something that I seek everyday and there are all kinds of knowledge out there, I am seeking wisdom to know what knowledge is truth and what things I can let go out of my brain.
Wisdom = knowledge that I am seeking through this daily study through the book of Proverbs… what about you?
A wholesome tongue is a tree of life BUT perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
A tree of life that grows and flourishes, as I would like my life to be. Being wholesome is rare in this day and age but you and I do not have to be like anyone else and we can be wholesome even in this day and age. Remember Noah he was the only wholesome person that God could find in the whole world… Live how you desire in your heart to live.
The lips of the wise disperse knowledge BUT the heart of the fool does not do so.
Back to our hearts again and how our lives stem out of what is in our hearts. Keep renewing good and life into your heart. What you put in will come out….
A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance BUT by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
More on our hearts and the life that comes from them. I speak more on the heart in this post from March 12
Better is a little with the fear of the Lord. Than great treasure with trouble.
Yes I like this Proverb just how it is, it rings true for me and I agree. A little fear of the Lord is better that great wealth and treasures of stuff and lots of trouble. No thank you to trouble.:)
So much wisdom just waiting for us to find, read and put into our hearts. I encourage you today to bless your heart and mind and soul with wisdom.
